Giant Excavator

If you are looking to gather large amounts of metal, sulfur, stone, or HQM, the Giant Excavator is an excellent destination. By using Diesel found on the map, you can power the Giant Excavator and receive one airdrop for every 5 barrels of diesel.

Time & Diesel Limits

To keep it fair for all players, there are limits on the amount of diesel you can use at once and a time limit for collecting your loot.

• The limit is currently 20 barrels of diesel per visit to the Giant Excavator.

Why These Numbers?

It takes 2 minutes to use one barrel of diesel. By limiting you to 20 barrels, your total operating time is 40 minutes. You then have 20 minutes to transport your loot back to your base by helicopter, car, or, if priorities are misplaced, by foot.

After this, the monument resets and the scientists protecting it respawn. If this happens, your time is up and you should not attempt to use more diesel - the monument is now available for another player.

No Return Rule

Once you have used your allotted time (up to 1 hour in total), you cannot return to the monument for at least 30 minutes. This means you cannot call out the Giant Excavator or use more diesel for 30 minutes. Doing so is unfair and prevents other players from using it.

Calling it Out

Communication is key to fairness. Call @Giant Excavator to let players know your time has started.

No Teaming

Do not use your team to tag the Giant Excavator multiple times. Many players are solo and will not have a chance to use it if you do this. Using it multiple times for personal or team advantage is unfair to other players on the server.
