Base Building Rules

As Griefer Grave is a vanilla PvE server, we do not modify Rust’s core mechanics. This means that while PvP is restricted, it is still possible for players to raid, steal, or cause damage. Because of this, you are responsible for securing your base to a reasonable degree.

1. Upgrade to at least wood-grade buildings

The lowest building tier in Rust is thatch, which is extremely weak and easy to break. To prevent unauthorized access, you should upgrade your base to at least wood as soon as possible.

2. Lock your Tool Cupboard (TC) & storage boxes

Locking your TC and boxes is essential for security.

  • If someone breaks in and steals from you, their name will be logged and flagged for admins.
  • If your TC is not locked, a player can authorize themselves and destroy your base without triggering logs.
  • In this case, we won’t be able to track the griefer easily, and the responsibility falls on you.

We understand this may seem harsh, but we’ve seen it happen repeatedly.

… With that said

We have tools to restore destroyed bases and will always do our best to keep the PvE experience enjoyable. By following these basic security measures, we can assist you quickly if someone tries to disrupt your gameplay.
